“Word…Life” is the debut album by underground hip hop artist O.C., released on October 18, 1994, under Wild Pitch Records. The album played a crucial role in establishing O.C.’s presence in hip hop and solidified his membership in the legendary crew D.I.T.C., which includes Lord Finesse, Showbiz and A.G., Diamond D, Fat Joe, Big L, and Buckwild—who produced most of the tracks on the album.

The standout single from the album, “Time’s Up,” gained significant recognition, especially after its instrumental was featured in the movie “8 Mile,” starring Eminem. The track delivered a sharp critique aimed at those who were posing as thugs in the burgeoning hip hop scene of the time.
