“The New Danger” is Mos Def’s second studio album, released on October 12, 2004, by Rawkus and Geffen Records. Following his acclaimed debut “Black on Both Sides” (1999), Mos Def explored film and theater before returning to music.
The album’s production is a collaboration with Kanye West, 88-Keys, Minnesota, Warryn Campbell, and Psycho Les, alongside Mos Def himself. It also incorporates elements from his rock musical project, Black Jack Johnson, named after boxer Jack Johnson, featuring guitarist Dr. Know, keyboardist Bernie Worrell, bassist Doug Wimbish, and drummer Will Calhoun.
