Dare Iz a Darkside is the second studio album by American rapper Redman, released on November 22, 1994, via Def Jam Recordings. The album debuted at number 13 on the US Billboard 200 and was later certified gold by the RIAA.
The cover art features Redman buried up to his neck, a nod to Funkadelic’s 1971 album Maggot Brain. Additionally, the track “Cosmic Slop” shares its title with Funkadelic’s 1973 album. The album spawned two singles, “Rockafella” and “Can’t Wait,” further cementing Redman’s status as one of the most innovative voices in hip-hop.
