“All Souled Out” is the debut EP by Pete Rock & CL Smooth, released in the summer of 1991 to critical acclaim. It included the modest hit “The Creator”. After gaining recognition for their production and remix work in the late 1980s to early 1990s, the duo signed with Elektra Records. Serving as a precursor to their debut album, “Mecca and the Soul Brother”, the EP features C.L. Smooth on all tracks except “The Creator”, which is a solo effort by Pete Rock. A deluxe edition of “All Souled Out” was released on February 18, 2014, by Traffic Entertainment Group, containing the original 6 tracks along with remixes and instrumental versions of “The Creator” and “Mecca & the Soul Brother”.
